Where It All Started
As a hospice volunteer, my journey began with a deep connection to my first patient, inspiring me to document her life story. Having lost my mother at a young age, I felt a strong desire to support her two adult daughters through their grief. I gathered family memories and handwrote 365 cards filled with quotes, inspiration, and wisdom, presenting them at their mother’s funeral. Later, their grandmother shared that this gesture changed their lives; the sisters began calling each other each morning to read their cards together. This profound experience illuminated my mission: to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. From this, Dezire to Inspire (D2I) was born. Our goal is to leave lasting imprints on the hearts of each recipient, offering comfort, hope, and encouragement when they need it most.
